WA International Women’s Day Leaders Breakfast 2027
We’re proud to welcome Dr Anh Nguyen, MBBS (HONS) PGRADDIPSURGANAT FRACS (PLAST) to one of Western Australia’s most inspiring and important leadership conversations.
This breakfast welcomes both men and women. Because the conversation about women’s leadership belongs to everyone.

There are careers built on ambition. There are careers built on skill. And then there are careers built on both forged in one of the most demanding disciplines in all of medicine.
Dr Anh Nguyen is a Fellowship-qualified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon a distinction that represents years of exceptional academic achievement, surgical training at the highest level, and the kind of relentless dedication to clinical excellence that the most complex and consequential surgical specialties demand.
But her story is about far more than surgical skill.
It is about what it means to pursue a path that has historically been walked almost exclusively by others and to walk it anyway. With excellence. With purpose. And with the quiet, unshakeable conviction that the best surgeons are defined not by who they are but by what they do for the people in their care.
As a woman in a surgical specialty where women remain significantly underrepresented and as a leader whose academic and clinical credentials place her among the most highly qualified practitioners in her field she brings to this breakfast a perspective that is as medically authoritative as it is personally inspiring.
Her presence at this table speaks to something every leader in every field needs to hear:
✅ Excellence as the most powerful counter-narrative to exclusion
✅ Women in medicine representation, resilience, and the road ahead
✅ Leadership in high-stakes, high-pressure professional environments
✅ The intersection of clinical excellence, human dignity, and transformative care
✅ Forging your own path in fields that were not designed with you in mind
This breakfast is for everyone.
Men and women are equally welcome at this table because the conversation about women’s leadership, representation, and the future we are building together belongs to every leader who believes in it.
Lead the Change is not a women’s agenda. It is a human one.
