WA International Women’s Day Leaders Breakfast 2027

We’re proud to welcome Dee Van Beek, Program Manager at The Karratha Women’s Place Inc. to one of Western Australia’s most inspiring and important leadership conversations.

This breakfast welcomes both men and women. Because the conversation about women’s leadership belongs to everyone.

And as Program Manager, Dee Van Beek leads the delivery of programs and services that make a real, daily difference to the lives of women and families in one of Western Australia’s most demanding and most important regional environments far from the policy tables where decisions about their services are made, and yet closer than anyone to the reality of what those decisions mean in practice.

That distance between where policy is made and where it lands is one of the most consequential gaps in Australia’s care and support landscape.

Dee Van Beek lives and works in that gap. And her leadership is shaped by everything she has seen, heard, and done to close it.

Dee brings all of that to this breakfast.

Her perspective sits at a critically underrepresented intersection of the women’s leadership conversation where regional service delivery meets community advocacy, where frontline practice meets program leadership, and where the lived reality of regional women’s lives meets the systems designed to support them.

She brings to this breakfast insights that every leader in every sector needs to hear:

✅ Regional leadership the unique challenges and extraordinary rewards

✅ Women’s support services in remote and regional Western Australia

✅ Community-centred program delivery far from metropolitan resources

✅ Closing the gap between policy intent and regional community reality

✅ Frontline leadership under pressure resilience, resourcefulness, and purpose

✅ Amplifying regional voices in national conversations about women’s leadership

This breakfast is for everyone.

Men and women are equally welcome at this table because the conversation about women’s leadership, regional communities, and the future we are building together belongs to every leader who believes in it.

Lead the Change is not a metropolitan agenda. It is a Western Australian one.
