Event: National Child & Family Safety Leadership Summit 2026

Why We Built This Summit

The National Child & Family Safety Leadership Summit in 2026 is not just about creating another event on the calendar it is about creating a space where the right conversations can finally happen. How we can better protect children and support families in Australia not just in moments of crisis, but through stronger systems, better collaboration, and honest conversations.

Too often, the people doing important work in child and family safety are working in separate spaces. Practitioners, policymakers, advocates, and community leaders all care deeply, but we do not always have enough opportunities to come together, share what’s working, and address what is not.

That is the problem this Summit is designed to solve.

That’s why we created the National Child & Family Safety Leadership Summit.

Why now? Because the challenges facing children and families are urgent, and waiting longer only makes those gaps harder to close. This conversation can not be delayed any further.

On Friday, 22 May 2026, at the State Reception Centre, Fraser’s Kings Park, WA with online live streaming available we’re bringing together leaders and changemakers from across the country for a conversation that feels both urgent and overdue.

What does a “national conversation” mean in practice?
For me, it means more than speeches and panels. It means:

  • Honest discussions about what is working and what is not
  • Listening to lived experience and frontline voices
  • Sharing practical ideas and proven approaches
  • Building stronger partnerships across sectors
  • Committing to action beyond one day

This Summit is about listening as much as leading. It is about creating real momentum for safer futures for children and families.

Because we do not need more noise we need action, accountability, and collaboration.

What is one change you believe could make the biggest difference for children and families in Australia today?
