Faith, Family and Farm Life: Building Community Through Purpose-Led Agribusiness
In a world that often feels fast-paced and disconnected, stories of faith, family, service and community remind us of what truly matters. One such story comes from a remarkable farm-based agribusiness that has grown into far more than a place to stay. With eight cottages, a thriving events space and one of the largest commercial kitchens in the area, this farm has become a place where people gather, connect, learn and feel inspired.
At the heart of it all is a clear sense of purpose: caring for others, sharing faith, strengthening family bonds and creating meaningful experiences for guests from near and far.

A Farm That Welcomes People From Around the World
The farm has become known for its warm hospitality and memorable guest experiences. Visitors do not simply arrive, stay and leave. They are welcomed into a story.
Through guided farm tours, guests are invited to see the land, understand the work behind the agribusiness and experience the values that shape it. These tours have become a special part of the visitor experience, offering insight into rural life, family enterprise and the power of faith-led leadership.
With eight cottages now available on the farm, the business has expanded into a destination for families, travellers and community groups seeking a peaceful and meaningful retreat.
Creating Events With Heart
For many years, the farm hosted a major annual event that brought people together in extraordinary numbers. At its largest, the event welcomed around 230 guests. It was a true community effort, requiring dedication, planning and the support of family.
Eventually, the target number was reduced to a more manageable 180 guests, honouring the importance of balance and family wellbeing. This decision reflects an important leadership lesson: growth is valuable, but sustainability matters too.
Now, a new event is planned for 21st March, and interest has already been strong. With 50% of bookings coming from people who have attended before, it is clear that this gathering has left a lasting impression. People return because they feel connected, welcomed and inspired.

Purpose Rooted in Faith and Service
The founder’s purpose in life is deeply connected to faith. As a Catholic Christian, she speaks openly about the importance of loving others, looking after people and trying to live by the Ten Commandments.
Her belief is simple yet powerful: if more people lived with compassion, honesty and care for one another, the world would be a better place.
This purpose is not separate from the business. It is woven into every part of it. Through the farm, the tours, the guest cottages and the events, she shares not only the work of the agribusiness but also the role that faith has played in her life.
For her, purpose begins with God, followed by family, and then service to others. This clear order of values has shaped her leadership, her hospitality and her commitment to community.
The Power of Family in Business
Family plays a central role in the story of this farm. Behind every successful event and every guest experience is a network of people helping, supporting and contributing.
The story also highlights the reality of family-run businesses. They require teamwork, sacrifice and honest conversations. When her daughter gently warned that another event of 230 people might be too much, she listened. That moment reflects a leadership style grounded not in pride, but in humility and respect.
Strong families and strong communities are built when people listen to one another, care for one another and work together towards a shared purpose.
Why Purpose-Led Leadership Matters
Purpose-led leadership is about more than running a business. It is about knowing why the work matters.
In this story, agribusiness becomes a platform for hospitality, faith, family, education and community connection. Guests are not just customers. They are people to be welcomed, cared for and inspired.
This approach offers valuable lessons for anyone working in community leadership, family services, education, child safety or social impact. When leadership is grounded in purpose, it becomes more human. It creates trust, belonging and lasting change.
