About Nicole Edwards

Nicole served as a Western Australian Police Officer for 17 years on the frontline, specialising in child abuse investigations and sexual violence cases, before medically retiring in 2023 on mental health grounds.

Key Details

With over 16 years in law enforcement, Nicole now works as a Child Advocate and serves as an Expert Advisory Group Member with the Australian Law Reform Commission, focusing on youth policies, victim support, and systemic change in safeguarding vulnerable communities. Her advocacy draws from extensive practical experience in police training, youth mentoring, and addressing family domestic violence
