About Sarah Barnbrook

Sarah Barnbrook is the CEO and founder of Away from Keyboard Inc. (AFK), a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to digital safety, reducing screen time, combating social isolation, and promoting ethical AI and digital literacy for youth and vulnerable communities.

She serves as an advisor to the National Council of Women Victoria, appointed to multiple advisory roles in 2025-26 to advocate for human rights and digital safety.

Barnbrook is also the Company Secretary of the Australian Gender Equality Council (AGEC), contributing to efforts for gender equality in Australia.

Her work extends to international advocacy, including UN commissions and awards like Volunteer of the Year at the Women Changing the World Global Awards for youth impact.
