Speaker Announcement: Sandra Creamer

We are thrilled to announce that Sandra Creamer, a highly respected Waanyi and Kalkadoon lawyer, Indigenous‑rights advocate and public‑health academic, will be speaking at the National Child & Family Safety Leadership Summit 2026.

About Sandra Creamer

As an Adjunct Professor of Public Health at The University of Queensland, Sandra brings a powerful intersection of law, human rights and public health to her work, focusing on the safety, justice and self‑determination of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and their families. Her insights are deeply informed by decades of leadership in organisations such as the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Women’s Alliance (NATSIWA) and her advocacy at national and international forums, including the United Nations.

A leading voice on ending violence

Sandra is a member of the advisory framework for the National Plan to End Violence against Women and Children 2022–2032, helping to shape Australia’s 10‑year strategy to prevent and end gender‑based violence. She also serves as Chairperson of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Advisory Council to the Action Plan 2023–2025, ensuring that First Nations women, children and communities remain central to how the national plan is designed and implemented. Her address at the Summit will be a vital contribution to our national conversation on how to build safer, more just environments for children and families in Australia.
