Michael Brown serves as the Assistant Minister to the Premier for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Digital Economy in South Australia. He took on this role in February 2025. Michael represents the electoral district of Florey and draws on broad experience from his work as an IT professional, government advisor, and political leader.
Before becoming minister, Michael worked in economic development and justice policy. He also held the role of Chief of Staff in government. Additionally, he chaired key parliamentary committees, including the Select Committee on Artificial Intelligence. This experience gives him a deep understanding of AI’s potential.
