Malini Raj’s Inspiring Background
Malini Raj serves as Executive Director of AMWA, where she champions the voices of multicultural women in policy and community spheres. With over 20 years in financial services, strategy, and community engagement, she previously led key roles at the Commonwealth Bank, including Head of Community Engagement and Head of Strategy for Multicultural Community Banking, driving financial inclusion for diverse groups. Holding qualifications such as GAICD, SF Fin, a Master’s in Applied Finance, and a Bachelor’s in Finance and Accounting from UTS, she exemplifies leadership at the intersection of business and social impact.
Advocacy and Leadership Impact
Raj is a forceful advocate for equity, inclusion, and policy reform, serving on boards including the Settlement Council of Australia, The Parenthood, Entertainment for Change, and as Chair of the Australian Pituitary Foundation. She has represented Australia at the UN Commission on the Status of Women and spearheads AMWA’s mission to amplify lived experiences in shaping inclusive policies insights that will enrich our Summit’s focus on intersectionality and collaborative family safety efforts.
