Speaker Announcement: Jasmin Diab CSC GAICD

We are absolutely delighted to announce that Jasmin Diab CSC GAICD will be joining us as a guest speaker for the upcoming WA International Women’s Day 2026 – Leaders Breakfast Event.

A Legacy of Service and Science

Jasmin Diab is a powerhouse of expertise and dedication. A Lieutenant Colonel in the Australian Army and a 22-year veteran, Jasmin has spent over two decades serving our country with distinction. Her credentials—including the Conspicuous Service Cross (CSC) and being a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD)—speak to a career defined by excellence and strategic leadership.

Beyond her military service, Jasmin is a leading voice in the global nuclear sector. As a nuclear engineer and the Managing Director of Global Nuclear Security Partners, she specialises in the critical fields of nuclear safety, security, and safeguards.

Her influence extends across several high-level boards and committees, including:

  • President of Women in Nuclear (WiN) Australia.
  • Executive Board Member of Women in Nuclear Global.
  • Member of the ARPANSA Nuclear Safety Committee.

Advocacy for a Brighter Future

While her technical resume is formidable, it is Jasmin’s passion for people that truly sets her apart. A self-described “nuclear science and engineering nerd,” she is a tireless advocate for the role of nuclear technologies in energy and medicine.

More importantly, as a mother, Jasmin is deeply committed to mentoring the next generation. She works stay-and-day to ensure that women and girls see a place for themselves in STEM careers, while simultaneously advocating for sensible nuclear power policy changes through organisations like Nuclear for Australia.

Why This Matters for IWD 2026

The theme of our 2026 Leaders Breakfast is a tribute to the “nurturers of change.” We are set to honour the remarkable women who shaped Western Australia—not just through formal leadership and activism, but through the essential roles of motherhood, caregiving, and community building.

Jasmin embodies this duality. She navigates the high-stakes world of nuclear security while remaining grounded in the values of family and advocacy. Her journey reflects the very essence of our event: celebrating the multifaceted nature of women’s contributions to society.
