Doug Hammond’s Expertise
Doug has served as CISO at Uniting since September 2019, based in Sydney, Australia. With over 25 years in technology, risk management, and information security, he leads teams across industries to achieve secure strategic goals through stakeholder engagement. Prior to Uniting, he was CISO at Inland Revenue NZ (2014-2019), New Zealand Divisional Information Security Officer at ANZ (2009-2012), and held security roles at Vodafone, Air New Zealand, and Deloitte. He is recognised among top cybersecurity leaders in ANZ and was a finalist in the 2025 Benchmark Security Awards.
