About us
Our mission is to empower the sector with forward-thinking solutions that enhance quality care, job opportunities, and sustainability. We believe in a more inclusive, equitable society, and our work reflects a commitment to improving outcomes for vulnerable communities. Through evidence-based research, policy analysis, and leadership development, we challenge existing norms, inspire progress, and contribute to the long-term growth of Australia’s care and support sector.

Who We Are
For-Purpose Leaders is an independent policy and leadership think tank dedicated to fostering collaboration, innovation, and impactful change across Australia’s care and support sector. We are committed to driving transformative strategies that address the most pressing challenges within the aged care, disability support, veterans’ care, mental health and early childhood education and care (ECEC) sectors.
At For-Purpose Leaders, we operate on a foundation of knowledge exchange, open dialogue, and partnership-building. We bring together leaders, policymakers, practitioners, and individuals with lived experiences to create dynamic conversations. These conversations are designed to foster innovation, share insights, and collaboratively shape the future of the care and support economy.
For-Purpose Leaders is dedicated to driving positive societal impact—creating a future where care is accessible, inclusive, and sustainable for all.
Our Commitment to Public Policy
At For-Purpose Leaders, we are dedicated not only to delivering exceptional services but also to making a broader societal impact. A key commitment of our organisation is that we allocate a share of our profits towards public policy work within the For-Purpose sector. This enables us to provide independent public policy advice and support initiatives that aim to create systemic change and enhance the sector’s ability to address complex challenges.
Our public policy work is appreciated by Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director General of World Health Organisation.
