We are honored to welcome Dr. Jacinta Vu, an experienced Oral Medicine Specialist, educator, and community leader, to our International Women’s Day event!
Dr. Vu is the co-owner of the Centre for Oral Medicine and Facial Pain and serves as a Consultant Oral Medicine Specialist at Perth Children’s Hospital. With a passion for education, she also teaches at the University of Western Australia (UWA) and has been widely recognized for her contributions to dentistry.
Beyond her professional achievements, Dr. Vu is a fierce advocate for survivors of domestic violence. As Director of Healing Smiles, she has played a pivotal role in expanding access to trauma-informed dental care, ensuring that women survivors receive the dignity and care they deserve. Her leadership has driven the establishment of a purpose-built dental clinic, making a lasting impact in WA.
Her tireless dedication to gender equity and community well-being has been recognized with the 2025 WA Local Hero award (Australian of the Year).
