In this video, we dive deep into the critical role early childhood educators play in identifying the early signs of disabilities and developmental delays. From personal experience, she’ll share the challenges faced when working with children, and how important it is to have a skilled workforce trained to notice subtle signs, even in a large group setting.
Having studied in New Zealand and worked in Australia, she has seen firsthand how vital early intervention is, especially when dealing with children who may not yet have a formal diagnosis. When she noticed signs of developmental challenges in some children, she was initially faced with a lack of support in the workplace. This sparked a shift towards a collaborative approach, where we worked together as a team to ensure that the children and their families got the support they needed.
