In this video, Zane McKenzie dives into a crucial conversation about the future of service providers and the level of regulation they face. Everyone deserves the right to make their own choices when it comes to the support they receive. However, there’s a growing discussion about changing how these service providers are regulated, and whether a risk-adjusted system is the way forward.

One of the main points being explored is whether different levels of regulation should be applied to different types of service providers. The question is: do we want to ensure that every provider is registered and meets specific criteria? Or should we allow some flexibility for those who might work outside traditional frameworks? This is something that I’m personally supportive of in principle, but he also recognises that it’s a sensitive topic, with many providers, especially within the community, expressing concerns about the impact of these regulations.
