In today’s video, Emily Edgar wants to share a bit of my journey with you. It’s been quite the rollercoaster! she spent two years trying to get into the accounting and finance field, but despite my best efforts, she just couldn’t get her foot in the door. Over time, she realised that this career path wasn’t right for me after all.

Along the way, she had some wonderful support from people in my village who suggested that she might do well in law or even politics (though she must admit, politics is a bit far off for me!). After taking some time to reflect, she decided to return to study law, specifically with an interest in disability and anti-discrimination law. She finished her studies in 2021 and took a well-earned break for a year.

I hope you enjoy hearing about her journey, and if you’re going through something similar, don’t lose hope. Sometimes all it takes is that one conversation to turn everything around. Thanks so much for joining me today!
