In this video, She shares her personal journey from Nigeria to Australia, touching on the significant changes in work culture and the challenges she has faced as a person of colour. Having lived in South Africa for eight years before moving here, she has experienced the distinct differences in work ethics between Nigeria, South Africa, and Australia.
She shares a personal experience where she felt that her expertise and experience were not fully trusted, despite her qualifications and background in biomedical engineering and antenna design. The biases were subtle but undeniable, and she compared her experience to someone not from Africa.
