Announcing Dr. Parwinder Kaur as a Featured Speaker at the Leaders with Purpose Breakfast
We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Parwinder Kaur, an award-winning scientist, entrepreneur, and passionate advocate for diversity in STEM, will be joining us as a featured speaker at the Leaders with Purpose Breakfast Series: Celebrating International Women’s Day 2025 – “March Forward.”
Dr. Kaur’s groundbreaking work as Director of DNA Zoo Australia at the University of Western Australia and Founder & Chair of the WA Genome Atlas has earned her global recognition. Her pioneering research in biodiversity and sustainability addresses some of the world’s most pressing challenges, transforming innovation into action for a better future.
Achievements and Accolades
Dr. Kaur has an extraordinary list of achievements, including:
- Receiving the Science and Innovation Award from the Australian Academy of Sciences.
- Being honored as the Australian Sikh Woman of the Year and inducted into the WA Women’s Hall of Fame (STEM) in 2023.
- Winning the Microsoft AI for Earth Award, the AmCham Alliance Award for Biotechnology, and being recognized as the Achiever of the Year 2024 and Swan Scientist of the Year 2024.
- Serving on the Federal Government’s Diversity in STEM panel and helping shape WA’s 10-Year Science and Technology Plan.
Dr. Kaur is also a co-presenter on Innovation Nation TV, an inspiring science communicator, and a 2025 WA Labor Legislative Council candidate, embodying leadership in every aspect of her work.
